In 1865 Geroge Emile Eberhard was born and twenty years later he began the manufacturing of his, now famous, Eberhard watches. It was his father who taught him the secrets for excellence in the process of rich watchmaking traditions. To this very day the thriving business continues. Over time Eberhard watches have become synonymous with meticulous craftsmanship and progressive modern and desirous techniques for design. For testimony of its excellence one need only consult divers, pilots, mountain climbers and every other sportsman with time as the essence, including blackjack tournaments. For generations it has been considered the acme of rating prestigious events of public interest. By paying strict attention to quality, an almost lost art in today''s hurried world, Eberhard has built a brand with an international reputation for its chronographs and chronometers. In 1919 Eberhard unveiled its first chronograph wristwatch. Within the next five years it launched its chronograph with two pushbuttons. In 1939 it unveiled the chronograph rattrapante. The technical beauty and quality of Eberhard pocket watched garnered his product popularity among the most discerning clientele of the time. The original watchmaker, George Emile Eberhard began his business in 1887 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland and remains not only chick elegance but a refined time piece.
